I have 2 of these:

Scott Drake Fire Extinguisher Mount

They work well, are easy to release. They are only made in one "direction", meaning that you cannot select which way the knob points. So on one side the mount is positioned with the knob on the bottom instead of the top. Otherwise the knob would be pointed at the rear seat and not very convenient to use.

I like them. They can rattle just a little, so I rotated it on the bar such that the extinguisher touches the rear seat. This can keep enough pressure on the extinguisher to prevent the mount from rattling.

You need some band clamps to attach the mount to the bar, and the the extinguisher to the mount. I ordered 2 boxes of 10 stainless clamps from Amazon and they worked great.

Small Band Clamps

Larger Band Clamps

I cannot find any pictures of them mounted at the moment, and the car isn't here for me to take one..

Here's the one I went with. Joe's Racing. They make one with 1 5/8" roll bar mount so it's perfect for DSE roll bars. It's a quality made piece and can mount on either side.

The "Halon" type fire extinguisher, like the one at the top of this thread, won't leave any powder residue when used. But aim good, because they don't last very long.

Go with the Element extinguishers. They never go bad, leave no residue, and you can get them with a very large capacity.

I must’ve missed the Element extinguishers post until John just put the link up there but after watching some videos, that’s very impressive, especially considering you have 50 seconds of use in a super small package! I just ordered their E50 along with their roll bar mount. I’ll keep the other one I already have but won’t hurt to have an extra. Now I just need to find a mount for a pack of hot dogs and marshmallows!
