Good luck man, hope the upgrade is as easy as it can be for you. I'm waiting for parts to show up myself, finally taking the EFI plunge with Barney. I'm probably as much so if not more nervous about that as you are with this coyote 10 speed sway... lol...

Which EFI did you go with?
I have a bit of experience with the FiTech.. I ended up spending 4000.00 by the time it was up and running.
Not inc labor. Lost 75% when I sold it.

I went with a Holley Terminator 4 bbl TBI. My fastburn heads really limited my intake manifold choices or I would have tried to go multiport. I'll use the ECU to control timing thru my MSD Pro Billet dist.

Man I really love this truck, and it came out so AWESOME!!!! I was following the build on FB and then you disappeared.

The engine change comes as a shock, but that Coyote will be cool too. I look forward to watching that swap.

Best of luck!

Thanks! Huge turn of events . . . I still cannot believe I sold the 427.

I got tired of the BS on facebook.
I do have instagram where I post most often

https://www.instagram.com/ecoboostf100/?hl=en

At this time I am trying to find the replacement for the 427.

I am in process of building a 410 FE its slightly possible that may replace it. a very basic engine with no upgraded heads, roller cam etc. A very basic no big bucks stuff.

What I really want to drop in is a Gen3 Coyote 10 spd auto with a SuperCharger. Finding proper donor truck is the hard part.

In a pinch I may go with a 2018 & newer 3.5 Eco & 10 spd auto but have done 3 ecoboost swaps already so not my first choice. I can easily get 500 RWHP out of one and still get great MPG.

Will see what becomes avail over next 30 days or so. Have bids in on a few different ones including a 2017 6.7 Diesel.

The 540" Twin Turbo Boss 429 I am building belongs to a friend, would love to have that but way out of my pay grade.

These are great options, can't wait to see where it goes!

I change my mind like the midwest weather changes. Minute by minute

One day it's a FE the next a Gen3 Coyote 10 spd then its a Gen2 Eco 10spd then back to a FE.

I was certain I was going late model but after not finding anything thought maybe FE. UNTIL, I started to count the $$ to stick with a pretty basic FE. I actually made a very large purchase of aftermarket heads, Edelbrock Plo Flow 4 until I realized I was sent the wrong heads. I just do not want to dump 10k in a very basic FE. I already have 2 FE 1966 Trucks with 2 more FE's under the bench & one at machine shop.

Today I have absolutely no clue which way to go. I thought the FE would be a quick easy swap but finding a machine shop to get er' done not so easy.

What year is the Coyote you have in the '56? Any pics?

I made a offer on a Gen3 Coyote/10spd Auto (10R80) will see what they say on Monday.

Just a pretty basic FE nothing special Current Aluminum heads, basic machine work with a 428 Style crank along with EFI and a Overdrive Trans is around 15k! No way no how will I spend that much on a dinosaur engine. Just sold a even more expensive one so not going to repeat.

So many people doing Coyote swaps wanted to do something different but what is currently avail for power and reliability they are hard to beat. Just a bit pricey . .

The 1500HP daily driver truck is very slow progress but at least engine is mounted. Hoping tomorrow to start on the custom headers.
