Shane... what did you end up doing here? Any pictures?

I have the Scott Drake ones in the cars but found this for under the hood. Won't leave residue and principle is sound I think.

Hey Curtis, I ended up going with this setup and couldn’t be happier with it. Would’ve liked to have a larger capacity extinguisher but couldn’t spare the room inside the car. I plan on mounting another on to on the roll bar down tubes in the trunk. May not be the easiest to access in all situations but at least it’d be there as an option.

I’m planning on buying one of the H3R Performance Halguard fire extinguishers also to replace a large 5 lb extinguisher I keep behind my seat.

Has anyone actually used an Element E50 for real or for training? I would hate to try a new technology extinguisher and find out it doesn’t work as advertised when I most need it on my Camaro. I asked a Fire Chief what he thought about it and he’d never heard about them. I feel it would be a good backup for the Halguard.

Here’s what mine looks like...I mounted it to the roll bar right above my head so it’s easy access. You don’t even notice it’s there unless you’re bent down, looking up. I went ahead and kept my 2.5lb’er mounted between the door and driver’s seat...I figured it couldn’t hurt and you never know when you or someone else might need the extra help!
