Default Painless Performance LS1/LS6 Coil Harness (( 02-16-23 ))

I ordered the Painless Performance LS1/LS6 Coil Harness from Summit Racing and I plan to send the Wiring Specialties Harness to Andrew to see if he can rework it.

I mocked it up and it works and I only have to rework the last two Cylnders.

You can see there is about 3" of excess wire.

I'm sure you have already verified this, but does the sway bay make contact with the tow bar when the car is on jackstands?

Default Finishing up the PWM Wiring...well kinda (( 02-16-23 ))

Me and this Optima battery are starting to become intimate as I a have held here so many times in the last two weeks.

I used stainless steel self tapping screws to secure the Adel Clamps which I acquired on one of my trips to the local Napa Autoparts.

I had two area's that I wanted to add a little more protection so I wrapped this are in DEI EXO Sleeve and then wrapped it in black electrical tape to make it disappear.

There is actually more clearance here then it looks like.

I love these connectors

I staggered these so I didn't have a bulky section in the wire loom.

Fan is connected and if you look closely in the 2nd pictures you can see my new attic ladder which allows me to get to all of the parts for the car.

I still have to remove the Painless Performance relay and make the final battery connections. Which I plan to do tomorrow.

Marty,

Since it seems like you’re near the finish line; how do you plan to use it…and how often?

So I went and did it as I ordered a box today from Amazon. Of course I also ordered a drip tray for my lift and a couple Spectra Air Filters.

Default Mike Norris Catch Can...Do I really need it ?? (( 02-17-23 ))

So I have had this Norris Catch can since the Syborg truck and I feel like I should install it on the car.

It fits really nice right here and I can lower it down a little bit.

Default Removing the Painless Fan Relay and connecting the PWM module. (( 02-17-23 ))

While the battery is out I am going to enlarge this hole so I can secure the Hot wire from the fan module.

Saved for another day.

New connections

Once I connect these Andrew DR EFI will program

Another small time consuming project complete.

What label maker are you using for your wires?

Default Anvil Carbon/Fiberglass Inner Fender Install (( 02-18-23 ))

I can't tell you how excited I am to install the drivers side inner fender.

Just one more thing out of my Attic Office

Thankfully I have a bunch of sheets of cardboard.

I needed to run to Home Depot for a few 5/16'' Fender Washer (no I didn't as I found them days later) so I could secure the Anvil inners to the fender.

I also installed the Rad Rides hardware while I was here as I don't plan to take these off again.

The Air filter is close but I think I can make it work.

I swapped in a smaller filter just to see how it looked and how it fit.

There is plenty of room but it just doesn't look right.

Bigger looks better

I started working out again and wanted to see if I could lift the battery with the left arm.

Yep, Not a problem at since it's an empty case.
