Looks like a great car, but you need to invest in a digital camera.

Want to see the build from beginning till now? Or just the "Readers Digest" version?

Got the car stripped down to nothing. Cut out the inner fender wells, rear lower vent scoops, side exhaust holes through the rocker panels, and welded in a brake vent tube. Then I sent off to the media blaster on April 10th, 2006. Supposedly done in 3-5 days.

Default Back from the media blaster

Got it back from the media blaster on May 9th. Nothing but virgin metal:

After much thought, I decided to go ahead and epoxy primer everything. No sense in having to remove all the rust again. Plus I feel like I have gotten somewhere

Default Metal Work

I removed these old floor supports and torque boxes:

Fabbed up some frame extensions:

And covered them with new floor supports:

I replaced the old torque boxes with new ones:

Eating those words now...

Heck of a project! What have you been doing with the rest of your life the past year?

WOW...

Thanks Roger!

I own an Income Tax business like H&R. I have 8 offices. Timed the car to go to the body shop while I had to work. It worked out perfect. Got it back April 20th. A month later and the engine is in.

Hoping to have it on the road in less than 30 days. Anybody know of any good meets/runs to attend? How about the Power Tour? I think it starts before I will be totally finished.

SIMPLY AWESOME! You have done a great job on this build. I'm sure you will enjoy every minute you drive this car, knowing you did 90% of the work. UP may be calling you for some advice
