from what I have heard, Russia and the middle east are the hot beds for stolen high end vehicles. This was comming from a customs person that I spoke with when we were trying to ship a customers vehicle back to him in the middle east. What I dont get, is that it seemed like an act of congress to get his vehicles to him and the customer has complete dimplomatic immunity....and it was still a pain in the a$$............

It's always more difficult to do it the legal way. Just look at illegal immigration.

When they ship these cars overseas they just stuff it in a container maked "widgets" and hope it's not one of the 1% of containers searched.

I'm sure that's where Troy's "Chocolate" ended up.. in some Shiek's or Zar's private collection.

I bet the ring recieve a specific order for your car or a car matching your cars description. There's some truth in the "Gone in 60 Seconds" movie.

The way everything went down at the event and the fashion in which all the cars were taken, I am sure this event was scouted out. I would also bet that once these cars hit the container that it would not be inspected anyway. Unfortunately I think that our law enforcement, firemen, military, and educators are some of the most under paid professions and I think there are alot in those professions that just do not get paid enough to care. That may explain the reasoning behind most educators being professional students and flamming liberals themselves.
