She just may get to. She'd very competitive, so might be a racer in my future.

They like watching me race my bike, so we're talking about getting this on the track.

Default 1 step forward, 12 back

I visited KC for work, so decided to take Scott out for dinner. We ate half a cow... seriously, the steak house we went to served me the "Tomahawk Chop" - 3 lbs of bone in deliciousness.

I also got to visit with my car. Scott's a genius, he made the best handling car, ever - The Hover Car - It uses repulsor technology.

Actually, he has it on a cart to move around. Working in the "business" you have to hate customers like me. He spent a lot of time to disassemble the car with the nose on. When I visited, I focused on the ugliness that is the firewall... and had a might as well moment. Yep, the nose is coming off, so Scott can shave the firewall completely. We're moving the wiper motor to the driver's fender and have all new slave and master cyl brackets. Of course, the new motor is an LS, so the big honking coil goes away too.

During dinner, after I visited, Scott let the cat out of the bag. The paint is hiding lots of ugliness. I never really looked at it, knew it was a plastic restoration, but 1/2" of Bondo is too much for me. Same with rusted trunk sections. Yep, another might as well moment - Scott is taking it all the way down to the shell and it's off to media blasting on Tuesday via Scott's rotisserie. When it gets back, Scott has two 1/4 panels and two trunk drop offs. He's re-working the rusty frame rails for the reworked IRS cradle, so that's a non-issue.

Oh and the stainless works headers have the 02 bung on the wrong side. These headers were for the Wayne Due chassis, which is not made anymore (that I know of), so they get a pass... Scott will TIG bungs on the other side and we'll cap these.

Wow look at all the money you'll save on tires, and you'll never kick up stones and chip the paint!
When I saw you were there I thought, not only does he do awesome fab work but at lightning speed too!

Cool

Coming along nicely! Half inch of BONDO? ..... that'll buff out

Silly question .... what difference which side the O2 sensors is on? I've never messed with them YET, thinking of putting them on my headers for sensors.

Man I wished I had a garage as nice as Scott's, I'd settle for half and a nice heater. We've had snow since Thursday and it won't be above freezing until Tuesday!!!!

Can't fit an O2 sensor in on that side, we think...

Put a lightening hole there and you could probably get the o2 sensor in there.

Default Racked!

And it's on the rotisserie - wondering what we'll find under the mud, the blood and my tears.

(Hate this part, a pretty car becomes worthless when undressed, had to reference Johnny Cash)
