Thank you for the input, we appreciate all constructive criticism. Although I dont necessarily agree. I painted a friends dash in his first gen Firebird and buffed it out to the same level of shine and he never had any issues with glare. He drives it alot too. Either way if it does become a problem we can always get a dash pad cover to help.

I feel the trend of shiny interior parts for the past few years is subject to ones personal preference. I have to disagree that your friend "never had any issues with glare". Maybe he likes it so much that it doesn't concern him, but I have been in a few cars with the dash painted glossy, and its definitely creates a visibility issue.

Regardless of the shiny dash treatment, the progress is good and your project is B/A.

got the front frame all stripped, cleaned and painted with two coats of POR 15 frame paint.

The glare is horrible and I took some 80 grit to the dash. After that I used rubber undercoating on the dash. It drove me crazy seeing the reflection of my massive erection every time i drove the car .Thanks alot Brian

cleaned up old springs and stripped/repainted trans crossmember...
