Thanks for all the compliments. So a quick update, we had the whole thing pretty much ready for interior, and while washing the car, we found that all the black paint in the engine bay was wiping off onto the wash cloths.

Long story short, the painter used a cheap, unsealed primer to coat everything instead of a proper black paint and flattened clear, or even a semi gloss single stage.

We had to strip EVERYTHING down to nothing and repaint it all. If the videos weren't so big, I would post them to you tube. The paint literally came off on our rags like it had paint stripper on it.

It was a 10k setback. 126 hours to disassemble, strip and paint. While it was apart we even redid the door jambs, as the painter totally killed the paint when assembling the first time.

I will get some pics up to date tomorrow.

We fixed (repainted) the firewall, dash area, inner fenders, rad cradle, inside of fenders and front end, door jambs, and finished the windshield frame. If you notice in the previous pictures the paint shop that did this did not even paint the winshield frame. They were "going to do it later" so we did it. The door jambs were so chipped from lack of care we had to re spray them too.

Turned out great considering we are not a paint shop!

So we got the front clip back on and almost done aligning, just need to add the hood and trunk. Then reinstall all the plumbing, grille, and on to the interior.

If anyone picked it out in the last pictures, yes those are temporary grade 5 fasteners holding the fenders on. We are machining custom fasteners for all the fender bolt locations.
