I got to say.... It was probably my favorite car at Sema. It looks even better in person!! Sounds great too!
Gonzo... it was good shootin the **** with you before you rolled the camaro out to the banquet or whatever you guys were cruisin to. She looked and sounded incredible.
You and crew did an awesome job! The car looked even better sitting outside in the sunlight at the Optima Challenge today. The engine details and colors were over the top!
Thank you Tim! IT was great getting to know you & talking shop...
To all that stopped by.. Thank you.. It was great to meet a bunch of people that have been following this build..
I just got in last nite & I am beat .. A whole week of SEMA is something else..
I have my SEMA story that I will post later today with some pics..

My machine shop has been a little busy!! They claim the hoildays is tough to get parts machined
Here are some components... Flush mounted tail lights, firewall to sub-frame support bar flanges with tubes, MISC fittings for dry sump, fuel lines, power steering...
This car is everything I hoped it would be! I'm sure every time you walk around it you nitice something new! How long did it take for people to notice the wide body mods? What paint code is that? Looks close to what I used...but I think mine had more purple pearl in it?
This was our first rodeo ride for building a car for SEMA.. What an experience it was .. We were still doing interior work on Sunday @ 3 PM loading & leaving @ 4 PM.. It was a long week but well worth it.. Got to meet allot of great people that have been following our work on Lat-G..
This car did great for us in more ways than I can imagine.. I have to thank the owner who allowed me to live vicariously thru to him to build my dream car.. “MY CREW” I could have not done it without them.. They are my biggest asset to what we can build @ JCG..
Here are some pics of where we were staged for SEMA & the HRIA banquet ..
I need to also thank Greg Weld for coming out of retirement for a week & keeping the car clean for us.. For once he could reach the roof of a car with a duster!
Leaving SEMA in the rain! Well.. It was a good thing we had functional wipers.. The owner & I left SEMA for a test drive around Vegas in the rain.. What the hell! It will be his daily driver when I ship it back to Tennessee! What a better way to proof out if she can handle a small rain storm..
Friday night after we leave SEMA.. Me and the crew are drawing straws on who is going to be the first one to be on guard duty.. We brought the car in open trailer.. It is a race car/daily driver! I did not want to be out in the cold/rain .. So I call Todd AKA Vegas69 to see if I can store my car in his garage for the night.. first words out of his mouth “ dumb ass” who brings a car to SEMA in a open trailer.. Just shrugged my shoulders & laughed! So we are off again driving to Todd’s house @ night.. in the rain! Trying to read the txt message that Todd sent me with driving directions.. As always.. I still got lost! We passed the exit about 10 miles.. All I can say is the little 68 proofed that she handle the rain..
Pic of the car when we arrived @ Todd’s.. I was not even their for 5 minutes.. OPEN the hood.. As we all know Todd is a man of very little words.. “ICE MAN”
Get to Todd’s house Saturday morning to pick up the car.. to head off to Optima.. I promised Todd a ride in the car.. So.. instead I threw the keys to over to him.. I am waiting for the phone call on what it will take to convert his 69 to a LS engine! LMAO!
After Todd’s drive I am figuring out if I really want to load the car on the trailer to head out to Optima.. I think to myself what a better way to break in the engine.. So I jump in & drive from Todd’s house over to Optima.. Her first taste of snow.. We build them to drive them!
We arrive @ Optima & park it @ the Wilwood booth.. About 3 PM the owner STOLE the keys away from me .. & drove the 68 for the first time! Got back with a grin from ear to ear.. Car is scheduled for delivery for Christmas! We got a few things to adjust for the owner, get the car vinyl wrapped, dyno tune, a full day of track abuse @ Button Willow with Dave & Mary Pozzi @ the wheel.. Got a few photo shoots with some magazines.. We will be showing her @ the Delmar show this month...
