Default ist gen 350 or 383 for road racing ??

Do I go for rpm or torque . ??
The car is a 86 corvette very low key .
Id like to keep my tpi stuff .
3200 pound 3:73 ,trans is open , probably a tko
Accel intake & runners , ported plenum
Building a motor for next season . Spend allot of time coming off the corners .
I can get more rpm out of the 350 with the TPI , but I can get a whole lot more torque out of the 383 , And it has to last a while
Half the time its on the street the other half is road courses , oval ,and auto X stuff.
Opinons ??

I know its a vette . I work metal all day ...
