Default Project Full Circle - 1966 Nova

Some may have seen my build on pro-touring but thought I would post here as well. Relatively new to Lateral-g but figured I should be here as well as there is a wealth of info here too.

Im currently building a 1966 Nova to be used at autocross events, shows and weekend fun and driving. Ive owned the car for 12 years and still have never driven the car. I am finally at a point in life to be able to invest the time needed to build a car.

The car is currently at Detroit Speed receiving the deluxe treatment of a front clip, rear quadralink, subframe connectors, trans tunnel and mini tubs. The build so far is going extremely well and the car should be returning home soon where it will be finished. I cannot say enough about Kyle and the crew at DSE and the level of service in which they have provided.

1966 NOVA:

DSE Front Clip
DSE Quadra link
DSE Mini Tubs
DSE Subframe Connectors
DSE Custom Fit Fuel Cell
TKO-600 Transmission (yet to be purchased)
NewGen 3 piece Lite Wheels (yet to be puchased)
LS Motor (standard) - Looking at running MAST Motorsports LS3 416

PLANS FOR CAR:

As mentioned above I do plan on using this car and would really like to get into events such as RTTC and GoodGuys and anything else that time permits. I live in SoCal and plan on attending as many events as possible and would love to be able to compete and have some fun.

How the car sat for 10 years

First stages at DSE back in September/October

First Mock up of front end

Preparing for Mini tubs

Rebuild of Wheel houses prior to install of mini tubs

Wheel houses were stretched a little more than normal to allow for a bigger tire. DSE was able to retain factory look even with the stretch.

Subframe connectors installed

DSE Quadralink and DSE rear end housing installed

Front end installed and car is now a rolling chassis. I was able to take a trip back to NC last month and visit DSE and take some cool pics.

Trans Tunnel with TKO-600 Trans

275 Front tire

Chevy II DSE headers. These things are wicked and look even better in person.

Photo op with Kyle and Stacey Tucker. DSE Owners.

Thats good for now. I will keep it updated as things progess. Couldnt be happier with the progess thus far. Big thanks to DSE.

Thanks for the welcome. I feel fortunate to be in the position that I am with my car. They truely do have some awesome parts. This past weekend I got to spend some time with Kyle, Ryan, and Keith from DSE out at RTTC in El Toro and I can vouch that their cars really do work. I even was able to ride on a few autocross laps with Kyle.

But again thanks for the compliments and a rendering is coming soon from Carter Hickman Designs.

Well I got my rendering finished and must say that I am very pleased with it. Never thought my rendering would have turned out this good but I do love it. A big thanks to Carter Hickman of Carter Hickman Designs for putting out such a nice poduct and help with my vision.

Always looking for some feedback so please let us know. Remember this is a retro SCCA "style" build had they built a Nova back then to race yet still trying to keep a new age flare to the car. Hope you like it. I do.

Awesome! New Gen Lites.....? Ahhhhhh, I'll live vicariously through you for the time being..........Chevy II with DSE treatment. Yep, I am a bit jealous.

I can't wait to check this thing out when it is done. I saw it at their open house.....very nice.
