Default 67 Fastback Buy Or Pass Need Help

Hey guys I have a chance to buy a 67 Fastback from someone out in Georgia which I like. I will have someone inspect of course since I am in Chicago. He states that this is a close to rust free LA car and the original owner gave it to his nephew up in Georgia. I was wondering before I spend the $175 to have someone go check it out any ideas or comments just by looking at pics. There is some bracing underneath the car and the owner says he spoke to two mustangs guys out there and they said it was fine just to leave it. The owner has sent any and every pic I have asked of and has no problem what so ever I send someone out there to look at at the car from top to bottom. It does have a blown motor and as it sits is how he got it, here are pics please need your advice and help

pass, it loosk like everything that has been touched needs to be redone. the bracing is ugly and welded poorly. Its hard cutting things off of a uni-body car without damaging the thin "frames"

maybe buy it for $4-$5K

My honest opinion would be to walk away. I have never seen bracing like that on a Mustang. The main thing to look for on these cars is the torsion boxes, they usually go and judging by the bracing they were or are gone. As for the car being mostly original I would have to disagree on that as well. I think if you shopped around a little more you could get something more solid that will cost you less money down the road. Just my.02
