Default Best cam for LS7?

Hi all,

I'm also looking at the option of running a new, stock GM LS7. I actually already have a dry sump system, so it would work out nicely.

I would prefer to have a little more HP and TQ. What's the easiest way to do this? My target is 600HP and 600TQ.

My assumption is a cam is the best way to do this. If so, I have some questions. Everyone loves the sound of cam lope, but I'm not entirely sure how it impacts an engine.

Few questions:
  1. How does it impact the driveability?
  2. How does it impact the performance?
  3. How does it impact the reliability?

Thank you
