Default New GTO Ram Air-6??

Does anyone know anything about the new GTO Ram Air-6 whether it is just a concept, or if it is produced or if you can just get the body panels/kit to make a standard GTO into a look-a-like? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It was just a concept. Wheel2Wheel has built a couple of wide bodied/flared GTO's that look just like that - bad ass.

John McBride designed the kit, if I recall. I would have begged and borrowed if the GTO looked like that.

It looks like the same concept that GM had running around at the Woodward Dream Cruise a couple summers ago. That car had the most evil, potent exhaust note I've ever heard. The sound of that thing alone would have made me mortgage my house to buy one if they were available.

It was a killer - no doubt!

I've heard rumors about a new GTO based on the new Camaro platform, but I've not seen anything firm yet. There was rumblings about a new Firebird/Trans-Am as well, but I'm betting that these may in fact be the same car.

Once the new Camaro is out, I'm confident GM will find more use for the chassis, and I bet a 'sister' Pontiac to the Camaro will happen. It's worked before...!

http://www.pontiac.com/g8/

The Pontiac G8 is on the same platform as the 5th Gen Camaro .
