Default Kumho V700 or Nitto Drag Radials?

I have used the search feature here but nothing really said very recently. I am curious to hear of those who currently, or in the past, have run either of these and how they felt about it?

I plan on going one of these routes:

Kumho Ecsta V700: front 265/35/18, rear 335/30/18

Nitto: 555 front 275/35/18, 555r (drag radial) rear 335/30/18

I realize one is more of a lateral handling/cornering tire, and the other is a drag radial for straight-line traction/performance.

I would like the best of both (of course!), but just want to bounce this off many of you since mini-tubbing and these tire sizes have become increasingly popular recently. What is the consensus?

FYI - my car will be used on the street and will see very little track time, if at all.

thanks!

NT01 is the road race tire. 555r is the drag radial.

I will be running the Nitto 555 in the front and Nitto 555R in the rear.

I really like how the Nitto 555R rides and handles.

It does seem like a fairly common package...

what ride did you experience the 555R's on? how much power were you packing?

thanks

Default Nitto Definitely

I have bought Nitto's twice and I love them. I will however go back to the NT01's. It's like night and day with the 555 extremes.

Had them on a S-10 with a built 4.3L with a blower on it backed with a t-56. Went mid 12's had to go with a taller tire so we got the new MT drags.

We drove the truck 5 hours in the rain at 60 MPH, they rode great.
