Well it depends if you want to save the seals or not. Mine were toast, so I just ran a razor knife around the seal cutting it flush with the glass on the outside. Pushed on the inside top and pulled it up and out from there. Then I just pulled the rest of the seal out of the openning.

If you are wanting to keep the seal, you have to use plastic or wooden pry tools to loosen the seal from the lip on the inside and get a section of it to the opposite side of the lip. Then you can run the pry to between the seal and the lip which will pull the rest of the seal to the opposite side of the lip, pick it up, and carry it away.

Probably not the best descriptions, but hope they help .

Don't have much to update. Dropped the driveshaft and drained the gas tank, so the engine/tranny is pretty much ready to pull out. Hopefully that will be happening soon. I did learn a valuable lesson though, 3+ year old gasoline STINKS to high heavens . It is a lingering stench too .

Other than that I just pulled a few more parts off of the car and been getting in some overtime at work to help save up for the tools and parts I need.

Pariah just got it's Christmas present.

2005 6.0L LQ4 and 4L80E with 15,000 miles . Got the drive by wire pedal and PCM too. No harness or accessories, but they probably wouldn't have gotten used anyway.

Now I just have to get all of the stuff to install them and make them functional .
