Default Started on the 70 Cutlass again

Well i finally am able to do some more work on the 70 Cutlass again. I have some rust on the drivers side floor pan to fix up. I am drilling out the spot welds on the center floor brace so that i can remove it. The worst part of the floor is above the center brace. I have finally removed everything from the interior of the car so i have less weight when i flip the car on it's side. I bought a full length drivers side pan and a new center brace but i think i might be able to reuse the original center brace. The new center brace has the seatbelt holes in a different spot than my original. Now since my car was originally a bench seat car i am not sure if the bucket seat seatbelt location is different or the same. The original holes are more forward than the repo piece. I am going to bucket seats.

Plans for now are (they always seem to change lol). Drop the car with springs, a four whell disc conversion, hydraboost, wheels will be 20x10 rear and 18x8 front, rebuilding the olds 350 (to be different) to make around 425hp. The car will look like my avator but with bigger and different wheels.

Glad to here your a keeping the Olds motor. I went back and forth on the power plant on mine. In the long run I deceided to stick with Olds instaed of LSx I was thinking about. I will probably detail the 330 for now and build a 455when I get the funds. Good luck with your build. I look forward to seeing it come together.

yes it's good to see you keeping the olds motor. with the demise of Oldsmobile it just seems sacrilegious to put anything else in it.

Very nice! As far as I know, the seatbelt locations are the same between a bucket seat car and a non-bucket seat car.

Shiny side Up!

Thnx for the info. I solved the problem tho, i managed to get the old brace off of the car without wrecking it. It's in pretty good shape so i am just going to blast it and it will be good to go!
