If I do another project, I would seriously consider a kit. Excellent power-to-weight ratio, etc., etc. My short list has the Dragon, a Street Beast Willy's or a 58 Vette.

just make sure you do lots of research before ya plunk down the serious amount of cash for a kit car. my cobra is a contemporary classics kit, the body is great, proportions are all great, the chassis on the other hand was a joke. thats why its getting new tube chassis using viper suspension components.

the ffr cars seem to be decent quality, and are affordable. use common donors.... if i was to build another, thats the way i would go.

the next one will have a roof like the daytona, the cobra is more for "oooooohhs & ahhhhhhhhhhhs"

I got a FFR cobra replica back in 1999. I was only 20 at the time and there was no way I could get the car insured being you have to be 26 before any insurance company will insure a cobra type car. I had the car in go cart form in the matter of a weeks time but the body work took me a while to get right. The new kits are said to be worlds better in fit. My cobra was not built form a donor car and was power by a 600HP supercharged 331 stroker motor. I never got to drive the car on the street being I had no insurance so I cant tell you what it was like. The guy that has it now said its the scariest car he has ever been in and he has a 502 69 camaro and a few other high HP cars.

I will dig up some old pictures. My wife still wants to kill me when I bring this car up because I traded it for a 69 camaro + a good chunck of cash. LOL
