Did you clear just the stripes? Or is he going to clear the entire car? I like the car but it just looks odd to me with the clear on the stripes and no where else.

Sorry if I am criticizing, I do like the car!

Tim

Criticize at will...

Just the stripes are cleared. Same with the rims... the centers are cleared.. but the barrels are just satin. The contrast is SICK!!

Venomous Type......
We have a profesional coming to shoot it... in the meantime.. sorry but the camera phone is the best we can do for now. Very detailed pics of the build and the finalized pics will be up in a week or 2.

I liked the wheels before, they should be all black instead of red, it would look much better.

Although I originally hoped the car would stay with the murdered out, all-black theme, I have to say I really like the red stripes with the black guns. They turned out nice.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about those wheels in their current state. It could be because of the camera-phone quality pictures, but it looks almost like the all-red wheels overshadow the rest of the car's appearance. I'd like to see how the wheels would look with a pattern opposite that of the stripes... all black with red gun outlines throughout. And to tie in the theme even more, maybe a thin redline on the tires? Just some food for thought... either way, the car is simply awesome, so great work!

Bulldog...
We went through so many different color combos with the wheels....
A couple looked real good. Black centers with red lips... All black with a red pinstripe on the outside of the lip...ect. All looked cool in their different respects. Rob likes it this way... so it stays.. for now. Also.. there needed to be some "flare" for the toy and magazine stuff. He is pretty good at changing things. I bet this car gets 3 different sets of wheels.

Here's a test fit with the RS badge on the rear. The red is really starting to tie together.

That might not be a bad idea to have a few different sets of wheels for the car. Of course, once the toys are created to match and it graces the magazine pages, it will probably stay how it is for publicity reasons. I liked your other ideas for the wheels, but like you said, it's Rob's car and whatever makes him happy is how it should be.

What do you think about adding a redline tire to the current wheels? It would accent the red centers, while making a distinction between the black lip and the black tires. As it stands, I think the black of the tires and the outer wheel blend into each other, making the wheels look smaller than they are.

p.s. the RS badge looks good. I was surprised there wasn't a DC badge on there, but since this is for the Rogue Status brand, the double meaning badge is really cool.
