I am new to the site and looking foward to the trading of helpful infromation with like minded people.

I have a 92 z with about 9000 org miles on it. I have a 383 with 100 shot on it. As everyone else I am looking for more. Plans for a fuel injected 406 with more nitrous just to start. The pumpkin has a Richmond ring and pinion but I am looking to do the whole 12 bolt thing as eventually. As for the tranny its a fully built 700r4. I have had a lot of luck with it so far, but my expereince and everyone I talk to suggests this won't last. I am not sure if I want to do a turbo 350 with a vendor or 4l80e. Any and all advice welcome.

Welcome to the club. If I had my choice between a Th350/400 or a 4L80E. I think I'd go with the 4L80E. It would take some doin as far as fitment, but in the long run you would have a stout box with a overdrive.

Default trans

The 80e will fit you will have to build a new rear mount, modify the tourgue arm, and a new drive shaft. Dont forget about the trans controler.
