I would be really surprised if Pro Touring becomes an, "Old Fad", because it is a logical evolution of the, "Sports Car".
Some of the nuances of Pro Touring might be considered a Fad someday, but I personally think Pro Touring is a, "Concept", more than a, "Style". Certain types of colors, styles of wheels, interior layouts etc. are always variable, but improving the performance of a car is timeless. It has been around as long as the Car itself.
Pro Touring to me is all about cutting edge technology being used in older automotive platforms. It's like a Black Tux, improving performance never goes out of style.
Colors, Striping and other Style oriented facets of the, "Pro Touring", Trend will probably be considered a possible fad someday, but even as far as Styling is Concerned, True Classy presentations rarely go out of style.
For example colors: Basic Red, Black, Silver, White and Yellow are baseline solid, "Timeless", colors like I mentioned before, a "Black" Tux is Timeless.
What are your thoughts?
