Steve....I have two of those exact openers in my shop. I love them BUT you need to have someone who KNOWS what they are doing on the install.
Problems I've had were install related. The openers are very quiet and work very well. This setup uses cables that run along the vertical rails and the cable winds on two small drums. ANY binding or slack in the cables leads to a wrestling match with the cables...I really like it when it's 10 degrees out and this happens....lol
I went with these units because I needed room at the ceiling area. Now that the bugs are worked out I'm happy. I'll see if I can find some pics.
BTW... sorry I haven't gotten back to you with the "Camaro in the snow pics" thing. My father just gave us a little health scare and he just got out of the hospital. I write it up and ship it off soon.
Steve we have a normal opener but just had it installed beside the garage door so it runs along side it. Works like a charm and no fears of something dripping or wrecking the car.
Genie or someone has one that fits in the center of the door that has the torque tube running through the middle and mounts on the door header. It's a recent new design and I saw it at Lowes or one of the other big box stores. I printed a paper copy and it's at home. I'll see if I can find it.

The only problem is that I'm pretty sure you need a certain garage door for this to work. I had this at our old house and it was GREAT, but we bought the door at the same time.
I don't want to buy another door.

That's the manufacture (dang you're fast !) Here's the version I checked and it works on any style door - but it keeps the torsion springs.

I have a Liftmaster PREMIER dealer doing the install... and install is pricy so it had better be right. lol
