I would look into the VEMS as well, its a system with origins in the megasquirt but based on a larger processor, it can run all eight coils and injectors sequentially, it will drive peak and hold injectors, and will accept dual WBO2's and i think its in the 400 dollar range assembled...

the megasquirt is alittle too basic to run an LS motor with all the outputs needed to drive the coils and injectors...

To keep it simple & accesible, I'd say go with a DFI (Gen 8 coming out soon...LOTS of features), or a FAST setup. MS, VEMS, Holley, etc can all do the job- but they don't quite have the deep LS1 support yet (some will undoubtedly argue that). There are other systems out there- but I have more experience with the DFI & FAST on LSx engines.

Default Pantera EFI ECU-882C-2-H

As one of the team members that invented the 58x (60-2) decode, worked with Wegners on the GM "spider" (have stock),
and manufacture a DSP baised EMS product,
I would suggest looking at my equipment.

My project, the first 1000 HP+ LS-1 for Ro was dyno tested at Westec almost three years ago.

I might have some experince with the Twin-Turbo LS-1.
