Default EDI pump in tank?

How hard is it to buy a new repop tank for a car (72 Road Runner in my case) and install an EFI pumpin the tank?

Anyone have a picture of a converted tank?

Here is one option:

I have had the Walbro 255 lph in my 87 IROC's tank for 4-5 years. No problems at all and only slightly more noisy than stock. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Is the A1000 pump good? I am about to order a Rick's EFI tank and that seems to be the one that it comes with the Stealth version.

Thanks,

Does anybody have part number ? Or pics ? And has anybody fitted one in a stock tank ?

Aeromotives are cool but personally would not trust one for loooong run.

What pump? Is there a electric pump in there? So quite you have to put your ear on the tank to hear if it is running. I love them. We sell the heck out of those.

We sell a ton of Rick's Stealth tanks with no complaints about the A1000, but there are plenty of stories about A1000s failing or boiling fuel returning to much fuel. Then there is a legendary Power Tour tale about a guy named MacGyver (or maybe the name is Jody?) that had a interesting cure for a over zealous A1000 a few years ago......................

A Walbro will be fine for 600HP,

Im running the Walbro 255 in my "01 LS1. 400 RWHP motor and I was spraying another 150 shot on top of that at one point and never had a problem with running out of fuel or running lean. Like everyone else said on noise, they are fine. I head alot of stock intank pumps that are louder.

The Bosch pump that Kinsler spec'ed for us (and we are using in our Rick's Stainless tank) is part number 10211. It's rated to 390 lbs/hr at 70 psi pressure.

Kinlser has a decent pump comparison in their tech manual here
