Hey Jody, what's you fix for this? just ran into the same problem tonight. Got a small air gap 1/8 inch.

Default Wow this is an old post

If you firewall is not painted you can add some material. If it is painted like mine was. I bolted it in and used silicone to seal the hole and around the mount. Then covered on the inside with sound deadener.
