Default Classic Car Insurance

What's the best insuance company to go with? I was told by a friend that I could get coverage even while I was building the car.

I believe my father is using Grundy. I know I have looked into Grundy as they will insure cars that are in the "project" stage. A very good thing to do if you begin to think about the investment already made well before you reach the half-way point!

Shiny Side Up!

I use Grundy and have for a few years now. They know it's a project (and probably always will be) and they have no problem offering insurance...agreed upon insurance at that! Oh and they didn't care that it has a roll bar either!!

I think that Haggerty's Road Side assistance is awesome! From experience! Many many times! My 69' has a tendency to not like to start from time to time when it gets hot, or when it just feels like it! They send out someone ASAP, tow it or jump it, and I have never paid a dime! I think it has happened about 8 times, and usually I have someone out there within 30 minutes.

As a comparison, we have Geico on our other cars, and a few weeks ago I was locked out of my Jeep. Called Geico roadside to come unlock the car for me. It took almost 3 HOURS! I was just sitting in a parking lot waiting! I called Geico back a few times and each time told them I have other car insurance on a different vehicle and it is 400% better haha!

I think you will get coverage and cost about the same everywhere, but I can't say enough about how they handle any assistance you need! No matter how many times a summer!

We have been using Grundy for years and as stated they are the best because you can insure while being built with the build program they have. Great company and if you are building the car for someone else you can transfer it over when complete to them. very cool
