Default Drop-Top vs. Fastback

Hey Mad_Scientist66: Why did the customer switch from a Drop-Top to a Fastback?

Fabrication work looks AWSOME You definately got the tires and wheels nailed down to a perfect stance. Post more picts. SOON !!! Not bad for having a BLUE OVAL on the grille.

The car was supposed to get the convert. roof to go with the windshield, but it didn't match good or look right so we talked him into the fast back roof. The top would have stuck up really far to when it was down.

thanks for the imput I'm not big on the oval either but this one is really growing on me, maybe it's the amount of time put into it. I think we are going to do something trick with the wheels maybe one offs? we'll see i guess hopefully i can update everyone on that.

Did you think of a lift off hard-top or did the owner shoot that down as well?

Yes a lift off was considered first but weight was a concern for one person to be able to remove, he's not big on the coupe roof and the fastback glass is large and adds alot of weight even for 2 people. So during mock up of that roof the customer decided that he liked the roof enough to make it a full fledged fastback.
