I know it is a sad story for ned and tony.. But i want them to know that it did help me in a way.

I've saving to paint my car, but I'm doing my car in stages and the paint will be last. As aweful as this was for you, it taught me to do my homework, and cheaper is not always better. When you are on a budget like I am the cheaper part is where I try and stay.. Do as much as possible myself and go to the pros on the stuff I cant.

paint and body work, huge novice..

Good luck tony, hope to see lots of pictures.

The people that are involved in this hobby are some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. It truely is an honor to call many of the you on both sites my friends.

It's too bad Chris DeShane didn't feel the same. If he did, then he would have done everything in his power possible to make sure that Anthony got the car that he deserved. Instead he just gave up. And in doing so, he gave up on all of us.

I just don't get it. When you've got something great...why ruin it?

Yes it is....but if Pete does the car the donated money will have to go to shipping from one coast ot anothere and back...big bucks really! SW's offer wasn't to pay for shipping, he does a lot of shipping and thought he could get me the best deal possible. SW is a great friend and I love that he is doing what he can for me once again!

I know I don't post here much (since My car has been on the very slow road to recovery for 6 years) but being one of the few guys geographically close to Tony I had some first hand witnessing to the whole deal. The only thing I can add about the "painter" is he should have refused payment in January and told Tony he was unable to perform the work specified. Then he could have held on to his respect and dignity.

This incident speaks volumes for the character of both Tony and his wife Jennifer. How many of us would have gone on a crusade to harm a person that had done this or spend countless hours and energy dwelling on it and building the negativity. Tony and Jennifer have done a wonderful job of keeping their chins up and being adults about the whole thing, kudos to both of you.

Now lets get this thing rolling so I can help you assemble it like I've been promising for a year!

Thanks for the kind words Dan! You have been a great friend over the years, thanks!

I can't wait to start assembling the car with you...soon, I promise!!

Yeah Curtis really did the right thing by getting this all out in the open! He never thought/planned it would turn into this, he just wanted me to vent a little before I had a heart attach...and perhaps help others learn from the situation. He knows Jennifer and I are extreamly greatfull of what he started with this thread, and I do owe him a few drinks when I get to Vegas for SEMA!

Yes, I am totally shocked that so many people would pitch in and dig me out of this mess....it's simply awesome! Been a busy few days talking with shops and trying to figure out where to take the car. Bruning came over last night. Thanks TJ & Tim! and really had a good look at the car and are puting a price together for me...they are local and that's nice! BOS also is in the running but they are pretty far away from me and that hurts the over all pricing. And now Pete steps up with a killer offer! I have to get pricing on shipping to see if it's even cost effective to send it to him...but I have a funny feeling it probably is. I'll know more soon!
