Default Who can turn this one into a g-machine?

Not mine but I would think some folks would like to see one turned into a g-machine. I've never seen one yet built that way . To me the 55-56 Buicks are way overlooked and have a lot of character built into their styling.

So it doesn't look like just another 'bagged' street rod, how about some modular wheels with graphite or black centers, maybe in the style of the II Much Nova/Bad Penny Camaro wheels, lower it of course, black out the mesh part of the grill and a color change?

Anyone want to show off their photoshop skills to give us idea how it would look?

I have wanted to do one of those for awhile. They would be bad as a nasty pro-touring ultra cruiser. That car is just begging to be wedge sectioned in the rocker just tiny bit. Cut out the floor and build a tube chassis. A solid rear axle with some bitchin front suspension would be perfect. Those cars have million miles of room under the hood. I would minimize the Chrome on the car. Use a lot of the original styling and just modernize all the vents and reveals.

Troy is doing a 54. It should be interesting.

Great plan Rodger...

Maybe a big inch injected nailhead, with an intake and ITB's like the one on your truck.

Use a 6 speed with a paddle shifter and build an articulated seat like the one in Rad Rides '66 Chevy Hurricane...keeping the bench seat like Leno did.

Here's an amazing '54 'Buferd racing the La Carrera Panamericana

If you sectioned the car so the trim went through the centerline of the port holes that car would be awesome. Then work the Port holes into the trim. With a bit of a wedge to the rocker to give it some attitude that car would be crazy.

I believe Terzich over at Pro Rides is building a pro-touring type 49 Buick.

Rodger, great sounding project...

What's the estimated completion date and how will the car be used?

The completion date is up to the customer. He is in the retail business, so it might be a little while. He races rally cars and is looking to have a bad ass concept style car that will get with it. We have been working on it slowly for about 12 months. He has been working on it for a quite a few years.
