Default opinions of this shifter? anyone seen it?

The Restomod Remote Shifter...

I found this shifter and I think it looks kinda cool and industrial/racy. Kinda reminds me of the Lightning Rods shifter for the Lenco trans, which I like.

Anyone seen this in a car? Or know if shifts well?

This shifter would also solve the shifter location problem I have without making me send my TKO 600 back to Keisler to be modified.

it looks nice but to me it seems like the transmission isn't made for that car and possibly more things could go wrong.

guy on pro-touring has one in his nova but he modifyed it to look a little different. i dont like the pistol grip but the rest look sweet! and i agree gives it a industrial look and if you got long leg it probally positions it good for you.

What do mean? The TKO trans isnt made specifically for any car, and you can have the shifter location set for any place you want really. Keisler said they have 30 shifter placement options - front to back, offset or not, etc.

Yeah I'm with you.. like what he did, and I had the same idea of putting a boot on the front piece like that. Thanks for posting the link.

I just need to figure out if the 9.5" set back from where the shifter position is now would be ideal, or at least damn close to it.

thanks again!

Flash....

I've looked at your car a lot! It is going to be one bad mother and so far I've been very impressed with every thing you've done. I'm going to have to vote NO on this item. To me it would interrupt the clean lines and flow of your car. If it's an industrial look your going for I think there are better ways to achieve that.

yea but if you have a new bar machined you could have it made the exact length to where its perfect for you.
i dont car for it in its stock form from the mustang site but i think all black anodized with a custon bar in place of the tacky "restomod" piece it would look sick!

I appreciate that Curtis.

I am on the fence about this shifter. I kinda like it and it seems different but stout looking, but not too over the top IMO.

I have been trying to go with a combo of industrial and dark colors, satin/matte/brushed, etc. and may get rid of a lot of the polished and shiny. We shall see....
