We had a great time.....wish we could have met more. Blake and Carter...great meeting you guys as well as the rest in our dinner group, we had a blast and it's guys like you that make events like this fun. I have no clue how many miles we walked but we were worn slap out. It was a very productive show for us and we'll be there with at least one but maybe 2 cars on display next year.

Carter, if you ever find out who walked off with your book...tell us so we can give them a good old fashioned beat down, unbelievable that someone would do that....well, maybe not unbelievable but scum of the earth nonetheless.

Yeah, the killer guys were awesome and all who were at the party. My pregnant wife Jennifer and I were definitely beat that night and showed we are getting old by being some of the first to leave, haha. Great group of guys over all and even at the lat-g party. I'm bad with names but here goes, Dick from best of show coachworks, tyler from ats, the infamous s.w., the guys from table, one of which got his f-body blown up from the car transporter. Good times. Everyone was really cool! Sorry to highjack, just wanted to give people their due.

The show was awsome, but I met and hung out with some great guys, so I need to say thanks, and I'm going to start chronologically with Tuesday night

Tuesday night
Thanks to Joe Coy (Pontiac65) for picking up both Carter Hickman and myself on the strip (really the middle of the strip in front of the Rivera) and taking us to meet everyone at New York New York for dinner.
At Dinner there was Blake, Roger and Paul of Killer Kustoms and wifes, Rodger of Iron Works with Brycen (I think), Paul Becker (SVP) and his buddy ???, Tracy Weaver and his wife and Ben Hermance...I'm missing someone, there were 17 of us for dinner...
Everyone split up after a long dinner (work in the morning) Tracy, his wife and I, (to early to go home) headed over to Paris for drinks. Rodger and Brycen showed up and after a few rounds we cried over the 0'bama announcement and talked about car ideas.

Wednesday Night
Carter and Jim Halliburton (Garage Dog) and I hailed taxi to the Lateral-g dinner, ran into Tyler and John McBride, John Parsons, Norris ? Tony, Curtis, Ben Hermance...next time we need some heat and name tags and maybe a beer or two.

After dinner Rodger, Carter, Jim, Eric Turner, Brycen and I all went to New York New York to grab a second meal and some beers at one of those cafe bars outside of the dual piano bar. Rodger's crew from the shop showed up too, one of his guys was getting married Saturday...Good times. Next, I think we were on Americas funniest videos with eight guys (yes 8 guys) in a four door F450, wicked up, going down the strip dropping guys off at their hotel rooms.
Just as I was getting to my hotel room the phone rang and the sweetest thing wanted me to show up at Sapphires, the guy who called was a good friend of mine, she was grabbing his phone in between dances, hard to resist a voice like her's, so I was off to Sapphires... I haven't paid a $30 cover in a while or $12 for a beer, skipping the details this is a G rated board..

Thursday night
Carter came buy the hotel (motel) and we walked to the Pro-Touring dinner. Too many people to name, all the big vendors and the small ones too. Carter new everyone, I knew a few. At our dinner table was Kevin Oeste (V8TV) and his wife (Kelly?) super cool dude, two other guys at our table .....clouded memory (this is why I'm trying to do this in order) we talked about cars, cars and Camaros. I tried to win anything 'Big Red' but lady luck was not with me that night.
After dinner I called and begged Blake to give me the secret password to his allstar party, Carter and I were off in the Nascar taxi, on the way to Mandalay Bay, Toto we wern't in Kansas any more.
And a party it was. Thanks Blake. Bill Howell, Marty and his buddy, Jason Rushforth, cool dude, all the Killer Kustoms guys, women, lots of people I didn't even know...Thanks Blake, the vodka made the trip out of Mandalay heaven painless, back to my motel for a couple of hours sleep before the final day SEMA.
I know I forgot a few names , not the faces. I had a great time.

Next year Curtis was suggesting a barbque one day or evening, just a kick-back affair.
Mary Pozzi was suggesting golf, really just drinking, driving, swinging a stick at a little ball in a beautiful green meadow.
The Sunday cruise should be a 'do not miss' event.
The Optimia Invitational will be a must do event.
It looks like SEMA 09 might be a 9 day event, hold on to your britches.

Mick
