So is it the quarters that's got you down? If that's it, have your trusted friend do them and move on....that is if you still love the build and are just a little confused this week.

Hopefully you will stick with it!! I personally have hit that wall before, and it literally takes everything out of you. I worked day & nights on the 57 for months I finally snapped mentally. I closed up the shop and didn't go back for 2 weeks. Hands down the best thing I ever did. Gave me whole new outlook and put the fun back in it again. Also, Don't compare yourself to Dan - anybody who knows him - knows he is as good as they get. Remember though he didn't learn it over night and neither will any of us. Whether high buck or low buck we do the best we can with what we have. You have come along way since you started building and posting pics of your car. Don't beat yourself up. You are doing a great job.

Brent

Well said Brent!

I hate to admit it but I was more than ready to throw in the towel a few times with my build....Jennifer was always there to talk me out of it, glad she did!!

Support from your friends is great - but if you have that same kind of support from your wife - that is whole other story. Much like yourself Tony - I'm very lucky in that dept!!

Take the car to someone that does good body work and have the quarters finished.
Sure it will cost more than you planned on spending, just take a month or so off buying parts and pay the body shop bill.

I've been in your shoes a hundered times over the past couple years. I've been able to relax since my cars been at Rodgers shop.

Morning Tom,

Sounds like your moving forward again. Sometimes it take a mental breakdown to realize that you actually needed a break from the project.

I am also glad your friend is willing to help you out.

Now Keep the pics coming.

yep ,it is hard to realize sometimes but we have to just do the best we can with what we have.that the bar for our cars cant alway be as high as the stuff we think is awesome.because the budgets and talents for those are also light years above ours.
i just have to keep pushing forward and try.

Default figuring it out

guys

im working through this frustration of the build ,feeling a little silly now about my moment of project mental breakdown i posted.
im glad im not the only member who has thrown the towel at the car and admits it.this bild stuff can get pretty frustrating at times.
all of the cool people i have met online because of the build is the reason i enjoy this build.otherwise it would be like another job.
i dont have any car building buddies to hang with in my area.so getting on lateral-g is where i like to hang out. cool bunch of of car loving /building nuts like myself...
i have figured out the qtr problem.telling myself the fab work is what it is. so ill move forward .
