Man....Sorry to hear this. I know I was pissed at the world when my old Mustang was stolen from the guy I SOLD it to....I had the car for 13 years and turned every bolt on it and someone stole it and I know they cut it up. In my case I still watch for parts as the interior was a one-off and there are many other parts on the car that can be identified as I marked them. The car even had LoJack and an alarm....It was 2 years last month. Even though I no longer owned the car I had such a personal attachment to it that I'd probably severly hurt someone if I found the parts on their car. I felt that way and no longer owned the car....it's a personal violation for a car guy to have a car stolen from him...you've put a lot of yourself into the car.

Someone HAD to know it was there!!! There is no other way around it. Hopefully there becomes a happy ending here but in the meantime many people watching for parts is the best set of eyes you can have.

I can understand wanting to be done with it but I have a hard time letting a thief get away with something.....thieves are dirtbags and deserve to be beaten within an inch of their lives!

Good luck!

Default If that is not your car at Roger's shop

Than I am truely sorry. If it is, good joke.

If it is not, check with your homeowner's insurance carrier. If the car is in parts it is not considered a car...it is considered personal property. The car itself would not be covered, but if the wheels and motor/trans were not attached to the car, they would be or any other piece not attached.

Personal property is covered anywhere in the world...including that storage unit.

sorry to hear that ,if they catch them i hope they cut off their balls. i'd get a lawyer and sue the storage place. they might only cover you for 10k but i'm sure they have a larger liability policy you could go after for negligence in not providing better security. i put lojack in mine.

that sucks large ones.... big time.. for some reason i feel its almost worse to have a project stolen than a car... its ike they not only take the vehiecle, but all the dreams and plans too... if you have some miles on the car you can atleast look back at the satisfaction of finishing it, anyway.. like everyone else ill keep my eyes and ears open...
to bad its not just on overhaulin....

Not this again. Another theft. There has to be much harsher laws to prevent this kind of thing. I guess this serves as a warning in this economy that these things will keep happening as more and more people get desperate. The police don't seem to care about stolen cars anymore. And this is why I have guns and don't ever intend to aim for the legs. Sorry to hear about this Tyler.
