Wrong. The Long Ram will bolt up to their respective cylinder heads. This manifold design was available on the B engine- 361 and the RB engine being the 413. Both versions would bolt up to your standard 361/383/400 B engines and the 413/426Wedge/440 RB engines.

Now the true MAX WEDGE engines had the heads with the larger port openings, among other differences ( 4 bolt Valve Covers ) ect....

If I'm wrong I stand corrected,Was it the standard cross ram, that had the tall ports for the Max Wedge heads. It was years ago {like twenty}that I had the mis fit issue on those parts.Just trying to give a freindly warning.Ron

The Max Wedge engines (1962,63,and 64) Stages 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 versions had the taller port openings than the standard wedge ports. Along with the taller ports they included a slightly larger valve dia. to take full advantage of the Cross Rams effective upper RPM band. The manifolds shown above are called Long Rams- not Cross Rams. You could use the Long Ram style on your standard Wedge Engine cylinder head- example- #-906 heads, 452 heads, even the Edelbrock Aluminum Wedge cylinder heads, ect.

The Long Ram engine package was more of a low rpm version, or for better description- street version.

I too have a set of these Long Rams and have toyed with making a simillar style set up to utilize 2 turbos and injection.

I hope this clears things up.
