Dave,

Now that we've helped you resolve the wheel color confusion someone created... , I hope myself and others here choose to follow your example of well thought out and inclusive posts.

Ha. Wouldn't have it any other way! As much as I go back and forth on things (like most of us) it sure helps to have outside opinions.

Thanks AJ! I am newer to the Porsche world after driving BMWs as my daily driver for the last 6 years before this. And I could not be happier. The twin turbo thing is pretty damn fun.

Yeah Tyler and I actually chatted about Porsches when I was considering taking the Camaro to him. And I've seen that poster on his wall in some shop picture!

Default Sell the Porsche?

Now there's an idea! Shoot, then we could really do some trick stuff to the Camaro, eh Dave?

I'm sure Todd's not the only one on here that could help you spend your $$$. By the way, tell him that you should be keeping your legs for awhile, the Scattershield has been installed....THX Troy.

As far as me being your GUY, I'll have to let my wife talk to you about that. I too may hail from SF, but we don't all have to live by the mantra: "when in Rome..."

Not to change the subject, but your build must be influencing someone. They've taken a few of your design cues (69 taillights on a 67/8) for a Grumpy Jenkins tribute 67 in the newest issue of Chevy Rumble.

I also saw a 67-8 Camaro with the '69 lights mounted inversely/upside down in print or online the other day- can't remember where!? Looked pretty cool.

And no, Dave....I lived in the Mission like you do now, but it wasn't so gentrified then!

I thought I saw a Nova or something with the 69 tail lights upside down, maybe the Rad Rides 70 Nova?

Yeah I know you were in the mission. Bet it was a little dicier back then!

Default '69 tails on a '68 Camaro

Aha...found it! Look at Jim Johnson's '68 Camaro on the Lat-G homepage. He's running '69 lights, upside-down,on a '68 Camaro. His car is the red one w/flares, sitting in the snow.

You gotta get up real early in the morning to be the 1st to try anything on a 1st gen Camaro. Pretty much EVERYTHING is a variation on a theme. Long ago, we discovered that the wheel was round...we're still trying to make it cooler, sleeker, faster, right?
