I actually heard someone (i think it was an older lady) did that in ohio or something, apparently at night, the flash dazed her and she ran into to pole that the camera was on and the camera (which according to the new report on the radio weighed over 300 lbs fell into the windshield of the car and killed the driver, now the camera company has a nice lawsuit on their hands. and also allegedly the company that has the contract for most/all of the cameras in arizona have had a lawsuit filed against them for non fcc certified radar units, so depending on how far it goes in court all those tickets could be required to pay back, hope the city/state doesn't spend too much of the newly aquired revenu.

disclaimer: i heard all this on ankarlo in the morning on the radio, i have no proof of any of this.

also SWCHOPPER, from what I understand, if it was a mobile van that got the pic, if there is another car next to you, you could argue in court that it was the other guy because the mobile units cannot determine which lane the speeder was in, it takes a pic of all lanes. and from what i understand, if you dont pay the fine, or get on the website to look(which proves you recieved it) then they cant prove you got the ticket in the mail and they have like 60 or 90 days to "serve" you in person or your off the hook.

NOW you tell me I was tempted to not pay it... But since I'm going to be in PHX frequently for a while, and since it was a company truck, I already paid it

if your on a motorcycle do the following: do a wheel stand to block your plate, then flip the camera off with your clutch hand, and have a nice day

actually if you are on a bike and are wearing a full face helmet, they cannot positively ID you anyway so even if they do send you one, you can beat it in court. and if you are on a bike on the freeway if you ride between the lanes (for the stationary cameras) they wont even trigger,(i tested it myself) the stationary ones on the freeways are triggered by sensors in the roadway, so if you ride between the lanes on the lane lines you wont get your pic taken.

if you click the link below, and click on the magazine icon, then flip to the 2nd to last page there is a small article on photo radar in arizona.
