Default tire size conversion

Anyone know how to convert tire sizes, my car has G78-15's on it, thats how long it's been since it's been driven, Actualkly the plates say 1967 but who knows for sure. Anyway anyone know what this size converts to in metric and what would be a good upsize in either a 17 or 18.

G78-15 = P215/75R15 or P225/70R15 = 27.4" diam

Google is our friend!! check here for more info.....

225/60/17 = 27.6" diam.

225/55/18 = 27.8" diam.

235/50/18 = 27.3" diam.
