Coming to Dallas, TX on business, need advice - Lateral-g Forums

James,

Thanks for the tips. I love trying the local restaurants when I travel. I love mexican, tex-mex, BBQ and steaks. So I was hoping to try some tex mex for lunch, and a nice steak for dinner. Anything non chain (unless it is a chain in Texas!) It does not have to be fine dining by any stretch. So I am open!

"chuy's" is a good mexican restruant, a good bbq/smokehouse would be "bone daddys"- similar waitresses to hooters

. for decent steakhouses they have "trail dust" and "love and war in texas". and of course id check out "the clubhouse" if you want to let loose

but chuys and bonedaddys are places that i prefer to go to if we're going down there...

About twice a year my wife and I go to a nice resturant. This is our new favorite. Its a Brazilian steak house only a few miles from DFW.

We like it the best because to don't have to settle on one thing to eat. The gouchos come around with different meats as often as you want until you bust at the seams. Its very reasonable 49.95 plus drinks.

I use to eat at this place... great chicken fried steak. the atmosphere is like the Palm if you have ever been there, but not at fancy...

The best Tex-Mex around. There is one in Irving on Northwest Hwy by just north of Texas Stadium.

i recommend Babes chicken also..awesome food but if ya want food and something to look at try bonedaddy's..wow oh wow what a place..lol..im not sure where either of them are since i was visiting and not driving..
