Default Remote Starter solenoid

Electrical guru's please chime in!
I have a trunk mount battery & I'm looking into the Madenterprises kit to
put a remote solenoid back by my Battery. This allows the power to the
car to be on a smaller fuse link 8GA & the starter POS + to only be hot during starting. This looks just like the conversion to Ford style to me.

Who has done this? Any pros, cons would be appreciated. Post any useful
pics.

Peter

Sorry- no pics, but I've done plenty of these.

It's a good, easy swap that gives you more safety in crash / fire situations. Make sure you don't need anything bigger than the 8ga... If you're big into stereos & other items that draw high-current, you might want 4/2ga at a minimum. Usually, the most demand you'll find up fron winds up being your big electric fans.

MAD stuff is good & you'll like their kits. As a side note- have you tried AAW for the same item? They are a site sponsor & occassionaly do PT/Lat-G discounts.
