Default 302 or 351?

Which would be cheaper and more reliable? I am really considering starting on my 69 fastback's and was curious which motor would be a better builder.. My performance range would be something that can keep up with the new Camaro's, Mustang's and G8's, but remember this is on a High School budget.. But really shooting for around/over 300rwhp.

I was looking at getting a 351, but this guy at work was telling me that the Ford community was really based around the 302.

Also, if possible, I would love to get this sound out of my car.

Trey,

Both are easy to find. Look for a late model mustang. If you are patient and look on craigslist you will find one for a decent price. http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/pts/1037275732.html

Wow, that is perfect!! EXACTLY how much I was looking to pay!

I am more curious of the performance, which engine would be cheaper to build up? But I guess the one you just posted would probably be in the 300 rwhp range.
