I remember seeing this car on ebay. they wanted crazy money for it. Could you imagine what it would cost to do all that plating now. I am having all the chrome and stainless done for a 53 cadillac now and that is a small fortune.

Latham Superchargers were designed in the mid-50's. About 600 were produced from 1955 to 1965. I believe production stopped in 1965.

Smaller versions are still being manufactured in Simi Valley, CA, by AXIAL FLOW ENGINEERING (www.axialflow.com).

Latham Superchargers are actually pretty rare. I own one. The ones shown on the "infamous" Camaro in this thread have one air intate at the front of the supercharger...... Mine is so rare, it has two air intakes. If anyone is interested, I'll post a photo.

Not to hijack, but I couldn't help but look at the pics posted of the "Corvette Summer" car (like driving by and trying not to look at a train wreck) and...it appears that there are actually more than ONE of those hideous abominations... (note the hoods are different, flares, etc)...EGAD... how desperately misguided does a person need to be, to want to build a Corvette Summer "Tribute" car?
