So Todd...did you win the contest or what?
Nope...I got beat out by that Pro Street Orange 68 Camaro with the 445 slicks and the blower through the hood. Instead of an SS emblem or RS emblem, it has a Pro Street emblem. LOL I had a good time, I just won't be sticking around for the end of car shows from now on.

Figures that the one car I was the most critical of wins. In no way shape or form was that car cool other than it was a Camaro. The color sucked, the interior sucked and the stance was ridiculous. I swear it looked like someone puked in it....maybe there is a huge Pro Street movement that I don't know about....or understand.

What probably happend to you Todd is normal. A lot of shows are very political. You need to be in with the right people to get the votes. Peoples choice or not, a lot of shows are who you know. Maybe the wrong crowd was there.

I would have voted for ya if I was there!! That car is SWEEEET!!

Appreciate it guys....the public for the most part wasn't voting. I think you are exactly right Nick. The car show crowd dictated the outcome. We all know the average cars show guy is in his 50's or 60's and set in his ways. I did have a couple say they were voting for me. I would never vote for a pro street car so there you go. I was the only pro touring car on the lot. I bet my ride home was the best. LOL

Prepping the car for the autocross Sunday. I decided to clean both fuel filters since the car has a decent amount of miles. I also decided to figure out exactly how much fuel I have with the gauge on Empty. Ricks tanks show empty with 5 gallons in reserve I figured out tonight. I pumped all the gas out into a can with the fuel pump to simulate running out of gas. That ought to get me atleast 25 miles. Nice to know on a road trip.To my surprise the fuel filters were spotless. I must of done a good job of cleaning out everything originally. I'll pump the tires up to 40psi and I'm ready to go Sunday. http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=10025
