A project THIS involved is quite a learning experience, huh?!! From the experience I've gained with my own Falcon project, I'll suggest that you give up on trying to predict an actual completion date!! It is futile and will drive you bonkers!!

Since "finishing" my Falcon, I've had to send the tranny controller back to have it updated (nearly 3 week delay), pull the motor back out for an oil pressure issue (killed another 3 weeks), ignition box failure (1 week), alternator failure (had to send back to Summit, and await return - over 2 week delay), and now I'm waiting on a new radiator (into week 3 now...)

If you need it, I'll donate my time to assemble the motor for you.

I've stopped putting a date on my truck. It will get done when it's done and I'll be happy with the final results.

Something I'm learning all too well as we go through this build my friends...

Case in point... Chad and his guys spent countless hours on my front nose, rear spoiler and Formula hood making them perfect for Matt at Anvil Auto to make the molds for the carbon fiber goodies off of...

Only to have the shipping company first lose the crate (yes they lost it and had no idea where it was "in system") and then when it was finally delivered and opened, Matt and Tyler discovered that its contents had been damaged!!

I know delays are inevitable... but stuff like this just makes me angry and creates yet more work for Matt, Tyler and the crew at Anvil. Sorry guys!

More to follow when Tyler can snap some pics of the in-progress body work on the hood and nose etc. (Thanks Tyler!)

Transportation company's are a joy to deal with trust me I do it daily.

UPS & Roadway are perfect test shipping company's. We use them to see how much damage they can do. Once we get stuff back from them with do our best to make a better package.

When shipping body parts "Wood Crates" with wood dividers are the only way to ship. The cost of a few sheets of 1/2" Ply wood and 2 x 4's are far less expensive then the time lost.

I could do a post on how to "Crate" a hood for shipping, that is if people are interested.

What a week... First the crate goes missing!! Then I find out it got there but is severly damaged! How do you destroy a crate made from 2x4's, 1/2" plywood, bolts, screws and nails!!! Now I got a box of damaged goods at Anvil!!! Wow what a week! And now the headache of fighting with the shipping company!

I've been following the project and am waiting patiently for pictures from anywhere of anything to do with this car.

I feel for you guys having to deal with the shipping companies, I've lost alot of time and money because of them too.

It will all come together. Any project of this scope is bound to have a few snags along the way. Hang in there!

I hope to be back on Ty's car full time in the next two weeks. Like I said earlier we had to take in a couple smaller projects to pay some bills and keep the lights on! But they should be done by end of month. I hope to have the firebird on the rotisserie by weeks end and get the bottom blasted and start on the floors and frame rail repairs in the spare time. I'll get some pics up this week of the progress.
