That car was on Ebay last week and didnt meet the reserve. Bidding ended at 180k. Personally, I think it was being schill bidded. It is a nice car(I use that term loosely) but not 180k nice. A lot of people seem to like the car, but it is nothing that i would ever want. They claim big numbers, but have yet to put it to any real test.

I read the article on that Camaro. It is a strange duck to say the least. I can appreciate the time and skill it took to put it together, and the fact that they wanted to do something different. But the car itself didn't do anything for me. And that exhaust system looks like s***! How could someone spend that much time and effort to build a car and then finish it with something that looks like it came out of the JC Whitney clearance section?? I've never been into the rice grinder scene. (at least it wasn't a turbo 4cyl Honda engine and front wheel drive!)

72tunaboa, maybe I'm a little behind the curve with e-bay but what is "schill bidded"? Just curious, never heard that term before.

Schill bidders" are bidders who bid on behalf of the seller, with the intent of increasing the final selling price, with no intention of ever purchasing the item they are bidding on.

Well considering how much the car has been promoted with various company logos, unveilings, cheesy youtube footage etc, its par for the course. Hype the hell out of a car, then try and sell it for the most you can.

definitely looks like there was schill bidding going on...

Thanks Roger. New one for me.
If the high bid was $180,100.00 and the reserve was not met, what the heck was the reserve set at?
I see alot of labor and some expensive parts, but I do not see 180k of value in that car. Even if it is "world famous"
Has there been any performance figures posted yet? I didn't see any in this or the other thread other than HP. I also have not seen anything on the suspension/ chassis set up yet.
Would any of you pay 180k for a dyno monster hybrid rice burner Camaro that has not proven what it's really capable of doing? I wouldn't.
Just my .02

the owners/builder owns a 502 Camaro and a Twin turbo camaro as well. I'm pretty sure we all know why theres hasn't been a single performance figure or even a roll race which texans are so well known for.

I've asked the owner numerous times to race it against HIS OWN other cars.

lots of bark no bite.

The movie car, RB26 powered mustang from Fast and Furious didn't even sell on ebay for 45k+. In fact if I recall it didn't sell at all. Whereas the actual car used for the stunts was big block powered and sold for 36k in pretty rough shape.

If that cars worth $180, the one I just sold for $125 is worth $225! Gimme a break. The exhaust was worse than my first car I had in high school.
