Just heard the latest on the Cuda that started this thread and they're working day and night to debut it at the Primedia booth in SEMA on tuesday at 2 pm. Big unveiling and marching band and everything. ok, maybe not a marching band but I hear they're taking it to the Z2Z.
Builder's right, 200 in the first mile looks like a tall order after reading Road&Track's recent flat out for a mile article. It looks like it takes serious hp to hit 200 in a mile if racecars and tweaked 911s are missing it by a good margin.

I was reading a few mags earlier today on Big Red and the Hemi for the Cuda. Both engine have about the same hp, around 875, but the Hemi has about 130 more ft/lb of torque. At a much lower rpm too.

The cuda will be much lighter than Big Red......and more purpose built for the competition! Neither may hit 200 but something tells me the Cuda will perform better.
