New Engine!

Kevin Swaney at TIN INDIAN Performance (TIP) has partnered with Jeff Kauffman at Kauffman Racing Equipment (KRE) to build my 400cid Pontiac engine into a 440cid-stroker! The new engine will feature ALL aftermarket parts with the only original piece being the factory iron block... topped off with KRE heads and TIPs custom engraved billet valve covers!

Together, TIP and KRE have built some of the highest horsepower street friendly KRE D port combo's out there! From 475 HP to 680 HP and everything in between. When building a killer Pontiac pump gas street engine, they feel that the combination of parts tends to be even more critical. The parts need to match and compliment each other in order to optimize performance. When building a Pontiac engine, the selection of cylinder heads, camshaft, and intake are critical to building the right combination and making maximum power from off idle to redline.
We’re shooting for roughly 500hp on pump gas with KREs 74cc 325cnc Aluminum D-ports and a TIP custom ground Comp solid roller cam!

These heads come as cast with a 65cc chamber, with 74cc and 85cc CNC'd chambers available. They will bolt to ALL traditional Pontiac blocks and do not require you to run any off-set lifters or rocker shaft systems.

Stay tuned as TIN INDIAN Performance & KRE build, break in and dyno tune to get the most out of this 440cid Pontiac!

440ci of Pure Poncho Power!!
Thanks guys! I'm really excited about this 440ci engine as you can imagine!
When talking with Kevin @ TIP about what I wanted, we decided to do something a little different and out of the norm from the more popular Pontiac stroker kits out there (ie. 461/463/etc). This thing should be a real buzzsaw with a 1.05:1 bore/stroke ratio and will be a LOT of fun on the street and the occasional auto-x!
Add to the equation that EVERYTHING in/on this engine will be completely aftermarket with only the stock iron block being reused!!
Pretty cool stuff IMO!
