Default Trouble with primer/sealer

I'm using Crossfire primer/sealer and I was told I didn't need reducer. I'm chasing my tail on this one cause it's really soft and I can't get it to sand smooth without gouging it. I've been told this brand is soft but It's really frustrating the crap out of me. I do have some reducer but I want to make sure this last redo works. What's the catch?

sounds like it needs a reactive reducer or catalyst of some sort if it's not hardening. Unfortunately, if it does you may have to strip it to fix it.

By the way, I would not seal over a coat that won't harden, recipe for disaster in my opinion.

How long has it been since you shot the primer/sealer? If you are out past 48 hrs or so, and it is still not sanding then you need to strip that off, it will never be right.

strip that garbage off and find something that you're used to spraying, if you have never done this before,try to get proffessional help atleast to get proper mixing ratio,

like it's been said, if it's past 48 hours and it's still soft, you'd be begging for problems, strip all of it off

Thanks for the replies. That stuff is coming off as soon as I get back from vacation. I think the ratio was way off. After looking over the manufactures specs, I'll reshoot and see what happens. I was working on the car with a friend and he mixed the primer. Oh well. It's a good lesson learned and not the end of the world.
