just because your tired of your old lady doesnt mean you should trade her off for a new blonde! obviously, after owning it for 10 years and doing all that youve done to it, you have some sort of love for the car... i think you need to take a step back and think of all that youve been trough with it. ultimately i think you will regret selling your pride and joy. if the car is paid off and paid for i would just start checking my budget and see if i could just afford to buy a vette. then you could have the best of both worlds... i mean, you cant even grab groceries with a vette..

Actually you can get a ton of groceries in a c5 or c6 vette, the trunk is huge. I have a 72 camaro and a c6 vette, each one has its purpose and it would depend on what driving you want to do and how it makes you feel. Sometimes change is good, as long as it isn't followed by regret.

Default 69 vs Z06

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? - you gettin a vette? I think you will miss the 69 (ask me how I know). I would love to have a Z06, but you know how hard good 69's are to come by these days. Either way, I want a ride sometime, and to come see that shop you built. I've got to get out more - when did you build it?

GOOD MAN!! We all knew you'd come to the right decision!

Why would you build that shop -- only to sell the one car you can work on and make improvements...

There's very little you can really do to a Corvette... big whoop... and NOBODY talks to you when you get gas -- or gives you the thumbs up when driving a 'Vette! Now that Camaro on the other hand -- that attracts attention -- starts conversations -- etc. To me... the whole car deal is all about the PEOPLE I meet and the conversations I have because of the 'old cars' -- rather than just driving a car.

You are so right Greg. Talking to people is part of having old cars.

Glad to hear you are going to keep it!

I pass a couple Z06's everyday and rarely do I pass a old car and a first gen at that. It is pretty cool to have something not everyone has. Keep us updated on the progress
