I think you answered your own question by posting those photos.

Unless it's been in the family for a while, I'd definitely choose a different starting point for a Mustang coupe restoration. There's a lot of them out there. That's officially a parts car.

I would drop a 6cyl in it and have me a nice beater .

Its rare that I would say this but, even I would let that car go. If it was a fastback that might be a different story.

I see potential. With it in that condition it makes it easier to take the build to unconventional directions. I'd take a project like that on but wouldn't restore it to stock. Looks like fun.

Unless you are going to do all of the body work yourself, dont waste your time. That amount of work will take a lot of time, and will get VERY expensive. Plus, you can find those body styles anywhere for cheap.

I asked today, we are restoring the car


Lol I buffed some of the fender today, it's so shiny and smooth.. Forgot my camera, will get a pic tomorrow. It looks amazing, I almost want to do the whole car for the hell of it.
